🌍 V Zonal Day of Coexistence in Action on the Costa del Sol

💥Last May 12, at the Torremolinos Conference Center, the V Zonal Day of Coexistence Promoters in Action of the Costa del Sol was held; where primary and secondary schools from the municipalities of Torremolinos, Benalmádena, Marbella, Manilva, etc., took part together with their coordinating teachers, AMPAs and management teams in a day promoting coexistence, dialogue and active listening.

A number of students were selected per center and enjoyed a day full of games and round tables, where they shared their questions, dreams and problems they encounter day to day in the mediation service.

We must not forget that these children carry out voluntary, trained work, always accompanied by their coordinator to resolve any doubts that may arise.

At our school, CEIP Mariana Pineda, we have been taking part in this project for 3 years and we have a very effective and committed mediation team (a total of 46 students), coordinated by teacher Marina, who offers her care and involvement voluntarily during school hours.

The latest novelty is that the mediation team will act during lunch hours, where conflicts brought from class have been reported.

From here, we encourage all parents to find out about and encourage their children to be part of or to use this resource, so valuable and important in today’s society when it comes to resolving conflicts through dialogue and fostering empathy.

Our AMPA has always wanted to accompany our children in these Days, supporting with economic resources (transport for the Days) and materials in the Mediation Classroom.
